ALL dog lovers :)
One grasshopper will not stop a train. But a million grasshoppers will." Please help.
I adopted Lilly last year and she has truly been a blessing! She was abused at her last home and came to us through the "Pilots for Paws" program. After a long journey, she has become a happy, sociable, active dog, but a few weeks ago she suffered a "Medial Patellar Luxation" (http://www.2ndchance.info/patella.htm). After spending hundreds of dollars on x-rays, sedatives and pain meds, the diagnosis is in: Lilly needs knee surgery.
I've saved up $500 so far but the surgery is nearly $2,000 and I just don't have the money. I even thought about not paying bills for a month or two in order to get the surgery ASAP. But I have a son who comes first, and I just had to pay for glasses, allergy shots and a retainer. It's killing me to see the dog like this: she is completely lame, depressed, and has no quality of life now that she can't take walks or play.
If only 1000 people could be moved to give $1, or 500 people could be moved to give $2, I would be able to pay for the surgery and give Lilly a good life again. She's only 2, and has many years ahead of her.
I believe in PAYING IT FORWARD, and if this fundraiser works, I swear that I will give $1 to 1,000 causes over the next year.
There is a saying: "One grasshopper will not stop a train. But a million grasshoppers will." Please help.
